| What is work-related learning |
|
Work-related learning is the term for any activity with employers that helps you prepare for the world of work.
It includes work experience, part-time work, volunteering, vocational qualifications and careers advice and guidance. It also includes any business or enterprise activities that have helped you develop your skills in things like communication, team-working, problem solving, presentation and IT.
Work-related learning is of benefit to all young people, whatever school you go to, whatever your ability, and whatever you want to do in the future, because it helps prepare you for the world of work so that you do better when you get there. It also helps you decide what you might be good at when you leave school so that you might make choices that are right for you.
